Saddlemen S4 Quick-Disconnect Saddlebag Docking Post and Fastener Kit 3501-0334 Review

Install was a bit tricky, but ultimately turned out great. Installed some saddlebags on my wife's 1100 Shadow with these and promptly went on 2 trips totalling over 4,000 miles. Worked great although I noticed at the end that one of the grommets was torn, probably due to overloading as we were way over the suggested weights. My only complaint (and I don't see any way around it on the design) is the bracket on the bottom rubs through the support bracket chrome so when the bags are off you can see the marks. Overall it seems to be a great mounting solution for bags with a "hard back", either permanently or if you need them removable.
