The rubber boot on the driver side CV axle was cracked. When I called several local mecanics I found that it would be more cost effective to replace the ENTIRE CV axle with a new one than have the rubber boot replaced... My truck has 250 000km... so it would be a matter of time before it goes... especially not knowing how long the boot was cracked... The hardest part of the jog is removing the bolts holding the CV in place. The part fit perfectly and has been on for several months / KM's. I used it going up a steep hill several times at my cottage and no issues.
