I was super-excited to get this set. When I put it on my Pro-Ject 1.2 turntable, I was super-disappointed.

At least three of the LPs were pressed off-center in the first copy I received, a set in the 1100s out of a limited edition of 2000. I sent it back in hopes that I would get a better set, pressed properly.

Second set arrived today, in the 1400s of 2000. Same records in the set were pressed off-center.

It wasn't just a visual thing, either. When playing, they wobbled in pitch, especially as the record neared the cuts closest to the label.

I am getting a refund on this second set, and not getting another. And now I'm off to eBay to find original copies of the same records in this set.

I've had good luck with other 4 Men With Beards LPs -- the four Miles Davis double LP sets are fantastic, as is the Funkadelic "Maggot Brain" LP.
