on my old boat I had a cheaper pyle amp, and it sounded ok, but didn't quite have the power. this amp makes my 100w Panasonic marine speakers sound amazing, really clear, crisp and loud. It's running without a capacitor, just right off a spare power terminal on my fuse panel and sounds amazing. Note that there are some dipswitches you will have to mess with in order to get it working, the factory presets are for high speaker input (I think they do it to keep you from accidentally frying it) so if you're using rca, you need to switch it to lower voltage. sounds amazing though, i'm really happy with it. didn't use the remote volume control, just set it to 75% and disconnected it, I don't really have room for the remote
