I tow a camper trailer with my 1998 Ford Expedition that has a 3 inch lift kit. The tongue weight of the trailer is about 500 pounds, plus I usually have several hundred more pounds of gear in the back of the Expedition. The weight of the trailer and gear used to make the rear of the truck sag about 2 inches. This made my headlights shine up in the air, and was causing the front tires to wear poorly since the angle change affected the front end alignment.

The installation was very easy and didn't require any special tools. The instructions were clearly written and had good pictures showing the installation process. The kit contained everything we needed for a clean installation, right down to cable zip-ties to securely route the air lines. My son and I installed this kit in about an hour.

After installation, we hooked up the camper, and put a lot of weight in the back of the Expedition. It sagged as it usually did. We added 25 PSI of air pressure to both sides and the truck came right back up to level. We went for a ride down a fairly bumpy dirt road that we take alot when we go camping. I was amazed. The truck rode just like it rides without the trailer. Before installing the kit, the rear suspension was too soft on bumpy dirt roads when loaded down by the trailer. I had been concerned it would ride too stiff with the kit, but I was wrong. The kit compensated for the extra weight and restored the ride quality and stabilized the soft ride.

I would definitely recommend this kit for anyone who occasionally needs extra clearance or ride stability, but doesn't want to sacrifice their normal ride properties for the occasional times they need the added control. Overall, they were easy to install, went in smoothly with not problems and solved the problem I was trying solve much better than I expected.
